4 Days Fes to Marrakech via Sahara

Day 1 Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – ERFOUD – Merzouga:

Pick up at the Hotel and head toward the desert passing through the mountains and forests of the Middle Atlas cedars, stopping to see the monkeys that live in these places.

We will arrive at Ifrane (the Moroccan Switzerland) where a charming ski resort is located. After crossing the pass of Zad (2178m / 7146ft), we will arrive to Midelt for having lunch.

In the afternoon we will continue our journey to Errachidia and Erfoud through the Ziz valley, full of palm trees. We will continue after to the dunes of the Erg Chebbi, where we will stay in a hostel located at the dunes.

Dinner and night in Merzouga.

Day 2 Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga:

We will spend this second day of our trip at the desert. We will travel 90 Km per track, surrounding the Erg Chebbi, extension of desert sand where is located the highest dune of Morocco, more than 220 meters of altitude, connecting by track with part of the path followed by the ancient Paris-Dakar Rally and with the mountains bordering Algeria.

We will stop at the oasis of Tissardmin where we will visit a fossilized mountain and continue toward a nomadic settlement to know some secrets of their life and customs.

In a short time we will arrive at the town of Khamlia, where people from Mali and Sudan live. We will relax with a cup of tea while we enjoy a concert of spiritual music, Gnawa.

We will return to the village where we will have lunch and at 16:00h we will leave in a group of camels heading to a camp of Haimas located under a large sand dune. After taking the welcoming tea we will enjoy the magnificent views from the stars.

Night in Haimas.

Day 3 Merzouga – Gorges of the Todra – Valley of the Rosas – Gorges of the Dadés:

We will wake up very early to see the beautiful sunrise over the dunes. We will after come back to the hostel where we will take a shower and have breakfast before heading toward Rissani. At Rissani we will visit the local market. Afterwards, we will depart toward Erfoud where we will visit the marble factory fossilized before continuing to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.

In a short time we will arrive to one of the strongest points of the South: The Todra gorge. The riverbed Todra has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty; is the paradise of the climbers at a unique place.

We will have lunch there before hiking to see this natural place. In the afternoon we will head toward the valley of Roses passing through the village of Boumalne Dadés.

Dinner and accommodation at a hotel in the Gorges of the Dadés.

Day 4 Gorges of the Dadés – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will return to the valley of Dades passing through the Palmeral of Skoura. Before arriving at Ouarzazate we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and a film studio.

We will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the old town and the Kasbah (classified world heritage by the UNESCO).

In the afternoon we will continue our trip toward Marrakech through the port of Tizi n’ Tichka where we will visit the cooperative of Argan Oil. We will learn the process of implementation as well as the countless benefits that have this product on the human body.

Arrival in Marrakech at 18:00h, transfer to the hotel or riad and end of the trip
