A 6-day adventure through Morocco, starting in Errachidia and winding through Merzouga’s dunes, Khamlia’s Gnawa music, Rissani’s historic souks, and Erfoud’s fossil treasures. Explore Todra Gorge’s cliffs, the stunning Dades Valley, and the kasbahs of Skoura. End with a visit to Ouarzazate’s iconic Taourirt Kasbah, Atlas Film Studios, and the UNESCO World Heritage site Aït Benhaddou.
Day 1: Errachidia to Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
Morning:
Depart from Errachidia, heading towards Merzouga (approx. 2 hours).
Stop at Ziz Valley for views of the lush palm groves and dramatic
landscapes; take time for photos and a short walk if you’d like.
Afternoon:
Arrive in Merzouga, check into a desert camp or hotel, and enjoy
lunch.
Prepare for an afternoon camel trek to experience the beauty of the
Erg Chebbi dunes.
Evening:
Watch the sunset over the dunes and settle in at the desert camp.
Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner with live music by the fire.
Spend the night in a tent under the stars or in the cozy camp setup.
Day 2: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Erfoud
Morning:
Wake up early for a sunrise camel ride back to Merzouga.
After breakfast, visit Khamlia, a nearby village famous for its Gnawa
music. You’ll get to listen to live traditional performances and learn
about their cultural heritage.
Afternoon:
Head to Rissani, a historical market town (approx. 30 min from
Merzouga).
Visit the Rissani souk for local spices, jewelry, and souvenirs. The
souk has a unique charm, especially on market days.
Continue on to Erfoud, where you can visit the Fossil Museum or
fossil workshops, as this town is known for its abundance of fossils
and petrified rocks.
Evening:
Spend the night in Erfoud, or return to Merzouga if you prefer a desert
ambiance.
Day 3: Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Tinghir
Morning:
After breakfast, drive to Todra Gorge (approx. 2 hours from Erfoud).
Todra Gorge is a stunning series of limestone cliffs, and it’s a popular
spot for rock climbing, hiking, and photography.
Afternoon:
Take a walk through the gorge to appreciate its towering cliffs and
narrow passages. You can also hike to some viewpoints if you’re
feeling adventurous.
Have lunch in the nearby town of Tinghir, known for its lovely palm
groves and beautiful old kasbahs.
Evening:
Spend the night in Tinghir, where there are several charming riads and
hotels that offer a warm Berber ambiance.
Day 4: Tinghir – Dades Valley – Skoura
Morning:
Drive to Dades Valley (approx. 1.5 hours from Tinghir), known for its
stunning landscape of dramatic gorges, red rock formations, and
winding roads.
Visit the Dades Gorge, and enjoy a scenic drive through the valley.
You’ll find unique rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers” and
other stunning views.
Afternoon:
Continue on to Skoura (approx. 2 hours from Dades).
Skoura is famous for its kasbahs, especially the Kasbah Amridil, one
of Morocco’s most iconic and well-preserved kasbahs. Take a tour of
this historic site, which offers a glimpse into traditional Moroccan life.
Evening:
Spend the night in Skoura in a local kasbah or a guesthouse
surrounded by palm groves.
Day 5: Skoura – Ouarzazate
Morning:
Depart Skoura for Ouarzazate (approx. 45 minutes drive).
Once in Ouarzazate, visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah, a well-
preserved and fascinating historic site showcasing Berber architecture
and offering beautiful views over the city.
Afternoon:
Visit the Atlas Film Studios to see film sets used in Hollywood movies
like Gladiator and The Mummy.
Explore Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (about a 30-
min drive from Ouarzazate). This ancient ksar is a fortified village with
beautiful clay architecture, and it’s been a backdrop for many movies.
Evening:
Return to Ouarzazate, where you can relax and enjoy a farewell dinner
at a local restaurant.
Day 6: Ouarzazate
Transfer from your hotel to the airport end of our service.
4×4 vehicle/Minibus with air condition.

Breakfast/dinner.
Camel ride/night in the desert (1camel per person).
Lunch/drinks cunsumed during the trip.
